Review: Dear Klairs Vitamin E Mask*

One of the main things I have been working on is using products that specifically brighten my complexion. I wanted products that would not only hydrated and bring radiance to my skin, but also help with brightening my dark sun spots that have resided on my skin like unwanted friend sleeping on your face for years. In my last post, I had reviewed the Dear Klairs Vitamin C Serum that I absolutely adored which is also a product I am currently using to help brighten my skin. And guess what? It has a friend that I know you want to introduce to your skin! Though after some time I did notice a difference, but I wanted a product that would accelerate the brightening process and Let's Face It, yet again, had answered my skincare prayers. They introduced to me the Dear Klairs Vitamin E Mask which I am so excited to share with you!

Before I review this product, let me explain to you guys the benefits of Vitamin E. Like I had mentioned in my blog post about the different ingredients you need to know in skincare, Vitamin E is a powerful ingredient that helps your skin to fight off the sun's UV rays and acts as a preventative anti-oxidant to fight against signs of ageing and dryness. The skin on your face is in a constant battle with the sun and Vitamin E are the soldiers that fend off dark spots, sun damage, wrinkles, dryness and so on.

How it works is that Vitamin E is an antioxidant that neutralise the effect of free radicals that causes all the damage to your collagen molecules in your skin. When your skin is exposed to the UV rays from the sun, it essentially steals an electron from the molecules in your skin and your body is forced to create free radicals as a reaction to neutralise this. This is a major problem as free radicals are like playboys who steal girlfriends from innocent boyfriends or also known as skin cells. When this happens, there are now skin cells that need electrons to become stable. Your skin becomes vulnerable becomes dry and damaged from the effects of the free radicals playboy. But not to worry, this is where Vitamin E comes in to help bring stability into your skin by absorbing the harmful UV rays.
The Dear Klairs Vitamin E Mask is a product that is unlike any other on the market as it was specifically designed to accelerate the brightening process of Vitamin C or more precisely, the Dear Klairs Vitamin C Serum. It contains about 5% ascorbic acid that is just the perfect amount for all skin types and yet have the brightening effects.

Dear Klairs Vitamin E Mask contains the following ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carrageenan, Gellan Gum, Betaine, Algin, Mannan, Ceramide NP, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Salicornia Herbacea Extract, Phragmites Communis Extract, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil
There are ingredients in here that not only promote brightening, but other skincare benefits such as collagen production, suppleness & plumpness, hydration and anti-ageing. Even if you haven't tried the Dear Klairs Vitamin C Serum, it works amazingly on its own.

It doubles as your everyday moisturiser due to its texture. The best way I can describe it is like applying a light, white custard to your skin. It's bouncy and has a "shape memory cream" that Dear Klairs had created to allow the average consumer to truly appreciate the easy application on the skin.

In most cases, Vitamin E is seen in the form of oils but allowing the Vitamin E to be easily scooped out as a cream is just ingenius! Once the cream reaches the skin, it goes from being a custard to a rich cooling essence that is so satisfying to the touch! This is very similar that of many other products, such as Philosophy's Night time Breath Moisturiser. It is very easy to spread across the skin and absorbs very efficiently.

One of the other great things about this mask is that there is minimum detection of any fragrance or scents which I actually don't mind but for those who do. It has the most luxurious packaging and you just feel amazing putting it on. It comes with a spatula for sanitary reasons and contains 90mL (3.04 oz.) of product which is quite standard for what you are using it for.

I had initially used this on its own just so it can gain its own merit to see what it can do for my skin. On its own, it did an amazing job acting as a moisturiser which evened my skin tone, provided hydration and suppleness to my skin while also making it look my skin feel softer! I have combination/oily skin at the moment and it's a real miracle that my oil levels have reduced as well. If you apply a more generous amount at night time, it acts as a hydrating face mask as well. I am just amazed at its versatility!

In combination with the Dear Klairs Vitamin C Serum, it truly does what it claims! My skin has noticeably seen so many better days because of this. The hardest things that my skin had to overcome was my sun spots and small dark pimple scars on my chin. And this powerful was what my skin was asking for! It truly had made the process go much faster which is so amazing to see! I feel though, in the first few weeks I didn't notice much but by the third week, I realised my sun spots were lighter and were practically gone when I applied my usual foundation on.

It's truly a remarkable product for the everyday person, especially for us Australians where we can't escape the sun. I highly recommend grabbing it from Let's Face it's website here for $36.95 AUD. Whether you are looking for an amazing and effective moisturiser/mask or something to help excel the brightening process of your Vitamin C products, I can guarantee you'll love it just as much as I do!

As a disclaimer, the brightening process won't work as well unless you regularly use sunscreen everyday when going out into the sun. Unfortunately, brightening your skin is one of the hardest things to achieve and is one of the things I struggle most when it comes to my skin. You have to be consistent and use the products religiously to see real and strong results. As Dr. Sarnoff said, "one day in the sun can reverse all the skin brightening". So I suggest to always apply sunscreen after the duo as sunken into your skin. Do not undo all your hard work!

Thanks for tuning in guys! Let me know if you have any questions or if you're obsessed with it. I would love to know.
