Becca Cosmetics Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation and Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme Review*

For those BECCA Cosmetics lovers out there, they have done you justice. They have recently released out their Aqua Luminous Foundation, and now the Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme has just launched online on the Sephora Australia website. They both perform magnificently on the skin and guarantees perfection on the skin!

Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation

Do you love a dewy finish, full coverage and something light on the skin? Look no further! This foundation is just nature's gift to give you that natural luminosity and glow. It claims to be "water-light" on the skin and is able to even and perfect your complexion. It has a watery consistency allowing the work of blending and buffing to be very easy. The foundation, itself, contains 32% water which the skin can highly appreciate. It also consists of other skin benefits such as anti-aging properties, skin brightening effects and a boost of hydration. It is free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates, which we can all be grateful for.

The Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation comes in 8 flexible shades that covers all skin tones and the shade that I own is in Beige, which is the third lightest shade in the range.

This foundation is so light-weight, and yet the littlest amount can cover redness, light blemishes and slightly cover freckles/sun spots. The more product you dispense on your face, the more dewy and luminous your face will appear. It is very buildable and you can achieve a natural, subtle, soft-focus glow to a medium-high coverage, intense glowy look - this foundation caters to both.  What I love most about this foundation is that it does not settle into fine line, it does not crease or cake up and it just provides such a youthful radiance to my complexion. However, this foundation requires you to at least set it with powder or else it will transfer or fade throughout the day. But even when you set it with powder, the glow will still remain.

There is little to nothing on the market that has this kind of dewy finish. This foundation can cater to anyone, but especially to those with dry/flakey skin, normal to combination/dry skin, as the moisturising formula would add hydration and enhance and help your skin to look better for the day.

One of the other great things about this foundation is its packaging! The liquid is encased in a frosted-glass bottle that has a plastic cap that is also a dropper. You turn the cap lightly and the centre of the cap will reveal and you push it to suck up product into the dropper. You continue to turn the cap and it will open the cap out of the bottle so that you can use the dropper. To release product from the dropper, you press on the centre of the cap. It is such an innovative, unique and hygienic way of dispensing foundation. Absolutely love it!

Between each application, this foundation needs to be shaken well - considering it is water-based. It is best used with a buffing or a stippling brush, a beauty blender should only be used to further blend out the product, not to place it on. The foundation lasts up to 6-9 hours of wear without separating or wearing off. It is such a great and luxurious-feeling foundation. If you want that special boy to notice you across the room, be flawless and glowing with this foundation! It retails for $60-70 AUD ($44 USD) containing 30 mL (1 fl. oz.).

Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme

This concealer is going to be my best friend for the next time I need something to cover that ugly zit or random hyperpigmentation. It covers so much with little to no effort. It has a thicker consistency than most concealers but it incredibly creamy, making it suitable for all skin types.

The concealer contains emollients for a natural to full-coverage finish that does not crease or settle in fine lines. It has such high concentrations of pigmentation that it covers the worst of the worst. A pimple? No problem! A scar? Piece of Cake! Dark Circles? No worries! This concealer definitely can cover it all, including redness as well. It has the very slightest tacky feel on application, but once blended, it does not remain this way. It becomes almost undetectable by the naked eye once on.

It is a thick, creamy and smooth cream that is just perfect for all weathers! It is very long-wearing and I can safely say, it is even sweat-proof. I had used this to both correct the undereye area, as well as other areas where I needed help and this concealer did an amazing job at doing so. It covered every little thing. The formula is not drying and feels like nothing on your skin. However, I would not recommend using this concealer to highlight, as it would require a little more effort to blend. This concealer I would purely use to just correct my problem areas, such as redness, blemishes, dark circles and so on.

It creates such a flawless and skin-like finish that you can use it perfectly on its own. I love how it has a satin finish that just blends so well. It is the "ultimate" concealer! There are 12 wide available shades that you can purchase from exclusively on Sephora retailing for $50 AUD ($32 USD). Yes, it is definitely pricey for a concealer, but what is the price for something that can hide all your imperfections, withstand through all weathers and suits all skin tones. Most concealers won't cater to the changes in your environment and will still do its job no less than perfect.

The shade that I own is in "Macadamia", which is the 5th lightest shade in the range. There are both warm tone, and cool tone shades, as well as some with yellow and pink undertones. Becca Cosmetics has really put in the effort to satisfy a wider range of people.

Each concealer comes in a glass pot, similar to those found for gel liners. It also has the classic Becca lid, sticking to the theme of things. Each pot contains 4.5 g / 0.16 fl. oz. of product, which is a lot in my opinion, considering that a little of this can cover a lot. It can be used with both a brush and with your fingers. For areas you need the most coverage, I suggest using your finger to dab on the product to your problem areas and use a brush to lightly blend the edges into your skin, especially under the eye. For spot concealing, you can use a small tapered brush to apply on your skin and use a sponge or finger to blend the product. Do not rub the product, as the coverage would not be present, either tap or dab the product on, only. It is suggested to be paired with the brightening concealer or a colour correct for absolute perfection! To prolong the wear of this concealer, you can set it with a translucent/invisible powder, especially those with super oily skin. But I honestly didn't find the need to.

NEW Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer and Eye & Brow Maestro Review*

My first taste of Giorgio Armani products and I am beyond impressed and gobsmacked with the quality and overall performance of the New Eye & Brow Maestro pots and the New Ecstasy Lip Lacquers. To celebrate 15 years of beauty, Giorgio Armani released these incredible products to show to the world.

Giorgio Armani has been a well-known cosmetic company that performs at its prime for the longest time. These luxury products are not for the faint-hearted but I can tell you now, they are beyond extraordinary! With confidence, these products will surely be on par of quality with their infamous Luminous Silk Foundation that has been highly raved on the social medias for quite a few years.

Left to Right: Ecstasy Lacquer in 600 Adrenaline and Eye & Brow Maestro in 16 Navy Blue
Swatches taken in natural lighting

Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer in 600 Adrenaline

Giorgio Armani released 6 Limited Edition Shades adding to their collection for the Ecstasy Lacquer range. These were released last month and was debuted at the Emporio Armani Fall/Winter 2015 Show. These lip lacquer are just something out of this world. I love any lip product that essentially does it "all". And these lip lacquer surely do just that. They provide the lips with such intense colour, they hydrate the lips for long periods of time and the give such a flattering shine to your lips. It is the ultimate lip product to have for the start of 2016.

The Ecstasy Lacquers have a very light and consistent formula that gives such a smooth and easy application. It leaves a thin layer of product on your lips and as time goes by, glossy oils come to the surface and give such a perfect shine that is comfortable to wear for all day! It does not feel greasy, tacky nor sticky! It lasts for more than 7 hours (on an average day).

Each Lip Lacquer provides such strong, vibrant colours that were inspired by car lacquers that give such a polished and intense colour. Traditionally, lip lacquers do not provide long-lasting colour, nor does it have a watery consistency that would keep your lips feeling nourished and protected from being dry, but these lip lacquers, truly does it all. It claims to provide the lips with an 8-hour hydration. And you thought that was all? No! From experience, it also stains the lips and leaving a tint of colour for an all day wear.

There are a total of 12 colours in the range and 6 limited edition shades. The Lacquers have two kinds of finished where Pure Lacquer is for a one dimensional colour, whereas Pearl Effect Shades have two dimensions of colour running through the tube. The shade that I own is in 600 Adrenaline which is described as a fuschia purple with blue pearly undertones that glisten when reflected by light. It is the perfect shade for those with cool undertones, though as I always say, if you can rock it, wear it! These retail for $52 AUD each and are available at Giorgio Armani counters at David Jones, Myer and Sephora, as of now.

The Lip Lacquers are encased in an elegant long, slightly flattened cylinder tube that has a colour to black gradient effect passing from the bottom of the tube to the top. The colour is displayed at the bottom, which is very accurate to how the lacquer appears in person. The narrow, oval-shaped doe foot applicator is slightly slanted and has a thin round point. It allows such great precision on application that anyone can apply it very easily, even without a mirror.

It can be applied as a thin layer giving your lips a tint of subtle colour for the day, applied over a lipstick as a top coat or applied with layers to build up the colour for a statement lip colour. The possibilities of wear is just endless.

Go grab your favourite shade at your nearest Giorgio Armani counter and don't miss out on this magnificent formula that will give "the shine of a lacquer, the moisture of a balm, the hold of a tint and the comfort of a lipstick".

Giorgio Armani Eye & Brow Maestro in 16 Navy Blue

Only being released on the shelves a few days ago, the NEW Eye & Brow Maestro enhances the look of every woman on a very versatile level. The formula has the ability to be an eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyeshadow base, contouring cream, eyebrow pigment, blusher. Due to its unique texture, it is able to have that multipurpose nature that caters to everything you need it to. It contains waxes, oils, clay-based ingredients and micro-pearls.

It claims to have an innovative solid cream that instantly becomes liquid on application. It is ultra lightweight and has a staying power of 20 hours. Even though, I have not used it for 20 hours, I can say it is very longwearing, both on the brows and the eyes. It is able to be blended, layered, smudged to create the colour of your desire.

There are now 16 shades in total in the range and of the six new releases, four are bold, bright rich pigments, while the remaining two are contouring shades. The colour I own from the new range is in 16 Navy Blue, which is described as a vibrant, bright navy that contains some shine to it. On an angled light, it can be taken more as a royal blue.

As an eyeshadow colour, it is able to create such a vibrant and solid colour by tapping and dabbing the product in layers. I had noticed that when smearing the product as an additional layer, it would slightly take the intensity away from your previous application, as well as take away the pearl shine. It is able to blended with ease using a brush or your fingers, but once set, it doesn't move very easily. It sets quite fast, especially on thin layers, so you will need to work fast with the first few layers. I had particularly loved using this as an eyeshadow base. It adds such intensity to any additional dark shades I apply on top and it is just perfect for the smokey look.

A friend of mine had dared me to try it on my brows just for the giggles and it unexpectedly impressed me. I did not think it would work as well for brows, but the formula truly does it all. Using my Sigma E75, it just applied to well. Despite the colour being unnatural, it was just the perfect texture and formula. It had a smooth and one of the easiest applications I have ever experienced, that was not too dry, nor too creamy. It was easy to create that sharp tail and the best part was that you can create both a subtle brow or a dramatic brow and it would still look good. I applied the most product towards the end of my brows and started blending the remaining product at the front of my brow and it seamlessly gave me full brows. Since the formula has a wax in it, the brows stayed in place and still maintained strong colour for a long duration.

You can buy the available shades for $49 AUD a pot at your nearest Giorgio Armani counter, either at David Jones, Myer or Sephora! Yes, it is very pricey for a pot BUT think about how many uses you can get out of this and the great quality that you will have as well. It is definitely worth the money.

Give me your thoughts about these products in the comment section below.

Disclaimer: All these products were sent to me by PR for the launch of the new Giorgio Armani releases. However, I was not sponsored, nor compensated in any way or manner. All opinions and thoughts are 100% genuine. These products were used and first-hand experienced by me. I was not paid to say or make this post, I just really loved the performance of all the products mentioned.

Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Bronze Glow Review

The highly anticipated highlighting powder by Bobbi Brown has finally hit our shelves and I am late to report to you guys about this amazing product! It has such a punch of illumination and glow that you can want to roll your whole face in it, so that the next planet can see you gleam like a star.

As you guys would know, I am a new fan of the Bobbi Brown range. I had first purchased the Eye-Opening Mascara and was astounded by the quality. So having this highlight was a must! It was just perfection in a box.

This compact hit the shelves and online just under a month ago and it has been circling around the social media (for good reason). There are two available shades, where it is recommended that "Pink Glow" is for light to medium complexions, where as Bronze Glow is more suited for medium to dark complexions. Bobbi Brown had previously released this compact before last year, but they had remodelled it.

The black, sleek and signature packaging of the plastic, square compact contains a decently sized mirror and a button-click closure. It is light, neat and quite travel-friendly. It does not challenge the little makeup space that I have and stores very nicely. When you open the product, you will see a tessellation of different sized squares imprinted as the design of the powder. It looks so elegant and beautiful to look at, but it had not changed from the old compact. (Though I am glad they had not changed it)

It claims that it is a "high-impact, light-reflective powder that gives the skin a shimmering bronze highlight and is perfect for the everyday strober." Its formula is very similar to the MAC Mineral Skinfinish Powders with the highly-reflective pearl pigments and with the specks of micro-shimmers that run through the product. The powder has a smooth, easy-to-blend and radiant texture that flatters the high points of your face, without settling into the fine lines.

However, this highlighter is very specific when it comes to its application. When using my usual Morphe 501 brush, I had noticed the product had completely scattered the product in an unmediated manner and almost all of my cheek was covered in it. It is recommended that you use a slightly more dense brush, such as the Zoeva 228 Crease Brush or the Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush to apply the product on. These types of brushes will give you precision, as well as the ability to blend the powder for a more flattering wear. You can apply this just above your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and your cupid's bow for a more uplifted appearance. But I would not apply this near your eyes, as some of the particles, if not careful, would scatter inside.

The shade "Bronze Glow" is described to be a golden, copper shade with a peachiness hue to it. This highlight perfectly adds the perfect amount of warmth in a highlight and that summer glow to radiate in the sunlight. You can wear the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder subtly or dramatically, depending on your preference as the formula allows you to build up to the intensity you want. It is also quite long-wearing for more than 6 hours, with no fading. Great highlight! Definitely two thumbs up from this girl.

You can grab your cult-favourite highlighting powder compact from Mecca Maxima, Mecca Cosmetica, David Jones, Adore Beauty or anywhere else that retails Bobbi Brown. It costs $80 AUD for each compact containing 8 grams of product. This box of fairy dust is just what you need to celebrate what's left of summer and your holidays (for the full-time students).
